LPTSA Nominations & Election Info

The nominations slate has closed, however, you can still run from the floor and appointed positions are still open*

If you aren’t on the slate but still want to run there are 3 things you need to do:
• Make sure that you have joined PTSA by April 11th. (30 days before the election) Check your membership status on Totem

• Notify the Nominating Committee at your given time during the election meeting.

• Prepare and present a 90 second or less speech on why you should be chosen for that position.

Also, elected positions aren’t the only positions on the PTSA. We have appointed positions too! These include the Communications Chair, Parliamentarian, Membership Chair, and Hospitality. More about appointed positions.

Appointed positions will be determined by the 2021-2022 LPTSA Board after May.

2021-2022 STUDENT PLANNER COVER ART CONTEST - submit your artwork by May 9th

Two winners will have their work featured on the front or back cover of the student planner.

Winners also receive 5 planners to share with friends and a $20 B2B gift certificate!

DEADLINE: Sunday, May 9th

RULES

One submission per student. Original artwork only.
Must include “Lowell” or “Lowell High School” and "2021-22.”
Follow the artwork requirements carefully! The requirements are necessary for proper printing. We have to disqualify any work that won’t print properly. Email the volunteer designer for assistance when you start if you’re confused.
Students keep ownership rights to their submission. Entry in the contest indicates consent to display the artwork with name and graduation year at school, on the planners themselves, and electronically.

HOW TO SUBMIT

Follow the instructions

Email judithsansone@gmail.com from your personal email address, by May 9. Include your name, reg #, and cell number. Attach a good photo/scan of your hand drawn artwork or the high resolution file of your digital art.

Lowell Gear B2B POP-UP Store - Sponsored by the LPTSA

Dear Lowell Community,

To support all of our students the Lowell student store Book to Book is organizing a pop-up store to sell Lowell gear.

When: Monday, 4/19th to Friday 4/23rd from 3pm to 5pm.

Where: on the sidewalk of Eucalyptus Drive at the main staircase (under the Lowell marquee)

Please see the merchandise price list. We generally accept credit cards and Apple pay but please bring cash or checks as a back-up, in case the credit card reader does not have a Wi-Fi connection. We will provide hand sanitizer at the table. Students and parents need to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.

The Book to Book volunteers are looking forward to serving our Lowell families over the next week. If you have any questions, please email me directly at hogrady@usa.com.

Every year, the PTSA awards grant money towards enrichment opportunities for our students. PTSA also underwrites educational and wellness workshops as well as college readiness programming.
