There are a number of Lowell events this weekend as well as upcoming volunteer needs that the Lowell PTSA would like to highlight.  Please see below for ways to engage with our amazing community and celebrate our graduating seniors (go SProm)!

 

Events

 

Tonight at 7pm is Lowell's Spring Band and Guitar Concert! Join us for an evening of music and community. You'll hear the Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, Beginning Band, and Guitar Ensembles present their spring concert "RESISTANCE." Entry is always free, and everyone is welcome!

Tomorrow, Saturday from 10a to 1p (and then lunch) is Lowell's 5th Annual College and Career Day!  This is a tremendous opportunity to speak with multiple colleges and even more Lowell alumni about their work experiences.  

 

• We will have four 35 minute sessions with 5 minute break in between
• Each session is exactly the same (except for the added workshops from California College of the Arts and Exeter in England both in the Meyer Room in the Library)
• Schools: Two schools per room; Alumni: Two to Three alumni per room
• Each session will allow 10 minutes or so for questions.

Volunteer Opportunities

Chaperone Senior Prom on May 4th - This year's Senior Prom is May 4th from 6:30-11p at the Regency Ballroom and the event is in need of Parent Chaperones.  The Senior class organizers have been working hard to make this a memorable celebration; if you are at all able, please consider volunteering as a chaperone to help make the night a success.  If you are able to help, please email lowell2024sprom@gmail.com

 

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on May 8th - PTSA is looking for volunteers to help with the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on May 8th.  Volunteers are needed to help set up and serve from 1-3:30p.  We are also looking for homemade baked goods that are easy to serve and eat (cookies, blondies, butter mochi, etc.)  Baked donations to be dropped off at the main office by 1p that day.  This is a great way to show your appreciation for the teachers and to thank them directly.  Lowell PTSA: Teacher Appreciation Luncheon (signupgenius.com)  

 

Community Fundraiser

 

Sunday, May 19th at 1p for Dear San Francisco at Club Fugazi.  Take a 90-minute joy ride through San Francisco's busts and beams in at breathtaking aerial extravaganza at the historic Club Fugazi in North Beach.  Invite friends and family.  Let's fill up the theater, $50 from each ticket benefits the PTSA.  (Dear San Francisco Select Your Tickets - Club Fugazi (clubfugazisf.com)
